An Antsy Leg

It was December 2023, and I had just landed in Bangkok after two 6-hour flights.
My friend Mike picked me up at the airport, and we immediately started bantering, as if 8 years hadn't passed since the last time we saw each other.
About one hour, 2 trains, and 3 buckets-worth of sweat later, we arrived at my hotel. I told Mike I'd take a quick shower, and then we'd head out.
And that's when our plans went out the window.
While taking a shower, I felt as if ants were crawling all over my left shin - but underneath my skin - and at the same time, like that part of my leg went numb.
I didn't need Dr. Google to think of the worst-case scenario.
"Where's the nearest hospital?" I asked Mike as soon as I got back to the lobby. The smile he greeted me with was immediately replaced with a serious, concerned look. "I need to check that I don't have a blood clot in my leg."
I spent the next couple of hours in a hospital, seeing doctors and getting an ultrasound scan of my leg.
The doctors couldn't find anything.
Which was both a huge relief, of course, but also very frustrating not to know what caused this weird sensation - and whether it'd ever stop.
I continued traveling around Thailand and the world, and my antsy leg persisted - especially when I took showers.
In the months that followed, I got used to the notion that this part of my body would never go back to what it was before. That this is my new "normal".
About a year later, I went to a massage therapist whom I already knew and trusted.
"Is there anything that's bothering you these days?" she asked before even starting our session, as she always does.
"Just the usual tension in my back and shoulders," I said. When I was already lying faced down on her table, I mumbled something about my year-long antsy leg.
"It could be your lower back," she said. "I saw something in your posture that I want to fix there anyway."
After leaving her studio, my antsy leg never troubled me again.
I'm telling you this story, because the people who get in touch with me have been living with their version of an antsy leg, but with their email ecosystem.
They'd gotten used to the idea that this channel would forever feel uncomfortable to them. That opening their email platform would always come with a wave of dread and distress, and that this feeling was their "normal".
But they realized that it doesn't need to be like that.
That the right professional can examine their situation, find the problematic spots, and relieve their discomfort.
A VIP Email Strategy Day does exactly that.
We spend a full day together examining your entire email ecosystem - not just where you think the problem is, but where it actually is…
Sometimes you think your emails aren't converting, but it's actually that you're measuring it all wrong - looking at the wrong metrics and missing what's actually working.
Sometimes you think your monthly roundup emails are helpful, but it's actually that you're burying your offer as CTA #5 - and after people click to a bunch of recommended articles (that may or may not even be on your website!), they've moved on and never see that you're selling something.
Sometimes you think you need to provide more value first, but it's actually that you're hiding what you're selling because you're afraid of being 'salesy' - so the people who want to buy don't know how.
And I don't just identify what's wrong - I show you exactly how to fix it.
